I didn't get a lot written today, but at least I was back to work. I incorporated most of Karen's suggestions this morning, then tried (and failed) to finish the book as I rode the train to my job at the bridge academy. Tomorrow, our realtor is holding a realtor oen house, so I'll sneak out and see if I can finish it at the neighborhood Jack in the Box while I wait to be able to come back home.
I don't know why it took me so long to get out of my bridge game, but I didn't get home until after 6:30 (partly because I just missed a train, then there was a train to Victory Station (the inadvertently ironic name of the station that serves the Mavericks/Stars stadium) which I took because I was cooking in the sun but which meant I had to get off at West End to catch another train. So, I missed my fencing class. This has been a bad month for fencing.
I'm reading MOON'S WEB by C. T. Adams and Cathy Clamp. Cathy gave me this book ages ago, but I've been behind and it slipped out of sight. I'm enjoying it--a solid paranormal adventure.
I'm going to make THE CEO's S.O.S. by Robyn Anders the www.BooksForABuck.com book of the day. When his late sister's dog starts a destructive rampage, billionaire Tyler Atwood knows he's got to do something--and pet psychologist Courtney Zane seems like the perfect solution. Except, by the time he realizes he wants her for himself, rather than just for the dog, Harvey, Tyler has already burned way too many bridges. Sassy and fun--only $2.99. Learn more, read the free excerpt or buy the book here (available in HTML, Adobe Acrobat PDF, eReader and Microsoft Reader formats). http://www.booksforabuck.com/rompages/rom_2005/ceo_sos.html. Here's the cover (cover design by Karen Leabo):
