I had a long and fascinating post which got eaten. I'll try to make this one shorter and interesting.
Memorial Day weekend was a big bridge event for me. Five sessions over 3 days. We made the semifinals of the Grand National Team qualifiers, and came in 5th in the Swiss Teams (4 wins, 2 losses). Both of the losses were preventable--if Therese and I had been a bit more in synch. This is probably the last time our team can play in a 499er event as one of our teammates is just about at the 500 mark (I've still got a VERY long way to go before I have to worry about that).
I spent today editing Karen's sniper book and reading submissions.
I'm going to make REVERSE ANGLE by Cathy Richard Dodson the www.BooksForABuck.com book of the day. A woman faces the death of her Hollywood dreams and comes up with one last scheme--she'll film a documentary of her mother-in-law's move across the country. Her mother-in-law is dead and her coffin is stuck in the back of the truck--making for interesting conversation. Meanwhile, she has to come to terms with her marriage and with other dreams that just might be preventing her from an enjoyable life. Powerful and darkly funny--only $3.99. Learn more, read the free excerpt, or buy the eNovel here: http://www.booksforabuck.com/rompages/rom_2006/reverse_angle.html. (Available in HTML, Adobe Acrobat PDF, eReader and Microsoft Reader formats). Here's the cover (cover design by Jim Dodson):
