I thought (and hoped) I might finish the bunny book today. Oops, didn't happen. I did have a little bit of excitement. About half an hour after karen left to get together with her girlfriends, I heard someone opening the door. It turned out it was a real estate agent who thought the real estate open house was today (instead of a month ago). It turns out that the little red flag out front is a signal to the realtors. Who knew.
Although I didn't finish, I made progress on the bunny book. I'm in the final fight scene. Next we need some sort of resultion with the guards, then some sort of recap. I'm hoping it won't be too long--maybe tomorrow but realistically, probably not.
I planned to play on-line bridge with my partner Therese today but I had to restart and by the time my computer finally woke up, I'd missed the start time. Bummer. Considering how I've been playing lately, this might be just as well, though.
In Tae Kwon Do, we had a test today. I've been working with the two boys who tested for gold belt over the past few classes and had assured our head instructor they were ready. Needless to say, I was nervous but they did a pretty good job. It makes me happy when I see the progress our students make (and makes me happy when I see the same in bridge). Of course, I like it more when I'm still better than they are. A couple of my Tae Kwon Do students can now beat up on me pretty good.
I'm going to make SHADOWED MEMORIES by Cathy Richard Dodson the www.BooksForABuck.com book of the day. A young woman flees from her captor into the arms of two men. Both are handsome, both strong. One is wounded and angry while the other is loving and kind. It turns out, though, that the woman catches glimpses from her past and her choice between the men goes far beyond one woman's happiness. Powerful and moving, only $3.99. (Available in HTML, Adobe Acrobat PDF, eReader and Microsoft Reader formats).
