Did you see the article about pentecostal Christians in Africa burning ancient relics of the native religions. I understand people not wanting to worship old gods--a lot of them were not really worthy of worshiping even if they'd been real. But so much of history has been lost thanks to burning what we don't really understand or agree with and it's sad to see that this is continuing. Imagine if the Library of Alexandria had not been burned. Would we still have access to more works of Plato, Aristotle, more histories? There are multiple stories of how the Alexandria library burned--and several of them involve religion.

It's Tuesday, which means I spent the day teaching bridge and Tae Kwon Do. I'm always exhausted afterwards and didn't get any writing done. It wasn't a wasted day, though, from the standpoint of BooksForABuck.com. I got some submission reading done between bridge and Tae Kwon Do.
