I've posted a review of ON THE GRIND by Stephen J. Cannell. This story of police corruption in Los Angeles is well written and moves right along. I would have liked to see a bit more in terms of plant and payoff and story twists, but it was an enjoyable read. Here's my review: www.booksforabuck.com/mystery/mys_09/on-the-grind.html.
Karen and I have pretty much got our house thinned out. We met with a real estate guy today and will probably list it on Monday. What happens then is the big question. Dallas has not been the housing disaster some other places have been, but it isn't especially strong, either. It'll be interesting to see what kind of traffic we get and whether there's a lot of interest. We live in a wonderful neighborhood, close to downtown, close to retail, close to public transportation. I hope there's a lot of interest in moving back to urban areas--the suburbs have been a disaster in so many ways for our country.
I've done a bit more work on paperbacks--look for the paperback version of GLOVE OF SHADOWS in the next day or so and FRAG LIMIT in April. It's getting near time to publish FIRST CONTACT by Ken Ingle. Then there's another Deacon Bishop mystery on the way. Busy times in the world of small publishing.
FRAG LIMIT is still only $1.00 (here: www.booksforabuck.com/mystery/mys_09/frag_limit.html ) and we've got a special page of free and $1.00 books here http://www.booksforabuck.com/general/free-and-1dollar.html
