I don't really know how impressionistic painters managed (actually I don't know how any painters manage, but that's another issue). Impressionists (especially Monet and Serat) sort of dab on brush strokes which look like a mess when you examine them closely, but when you back up, all of a sudden, the picture snaps into existance.
Unfortunatley, that's the way my writing on the Bunny book has been going. I spent another day today slipping together pieces. I had one and a half scenes already written, so I slid them into place, writing the scene that went between the two of them and then finishing the second. Naturally, there was some cutting that went along. It's possible that I'm not sort of whole, and can move forward on finishing the story. It's also possible that when I get to work on it tomorrow, I'll discover some whole new area that needs to be explored sometime back in the earlier part of the book. I really don't like this way of writing. Whoever invented it needs to have his/her head examined.
I got a bit done on edits for the next Deacon Bishop story.
Karen and I decided to walk to a new restaurant we'd heard of for date night. The only problem--we couldn't find the restaurant. So, we went to Vitos, our neighborhood Italian place. The good thing about Vitos is they serve free wine with dinner. The bad thing is, it's hard to be very productive afterwards. Oh, well.
I'm reading LORD OF THE LIBRARY by Mel Odom.
I'm going to make BLIND DATE by Robyn Anders the www.BooksForABuck.com book of the day. US Airman Mark Barnes came back from Bosnia with a terrible injury and a bit of an attitude problem. Amy Halprin played pro-basketball before blowing her knee and can't imagine life with anyone less than whole. They fight the attraction, each certain the other represents exactly what they don't need. Emotional and strong--only $1.00. Available in HTML, Microsoft Reader, Adobe Acrobat PDF, and eReader formats. Here's the URL: www.booksforabuck.com/rompages/blind_date.html. Here's the cover (cover design by Jane Graves):
